HC Deb 21 October 1953 vol 518 c263W
74. Mr. Houghton

asked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation how many men are employed on road repair works in progress in Market Street, Hebden Bridge, Yorkshire; and when he expects the interruption of traffic in this narrow stretch of trunk road to end.

Mr. Braithwaite

Twenty-seven men are now employed on this work, which I expect to be completed by the middle of November. I regret, however, that there will continue to be some interruption of traffic until the end of the year because of emergency repairs to Hepton New Bridge, which a recent inspection showed to be necessary.
