§ Mr. J. P. L. ThomasThe only Admiralty employee known to have been in these circumstances was transferred to Old Kilpatrick in 1952 and, as his family remained in Edinburgh, he received a lodging allowance of 7s. a night. While at Old Kilpatrick he was sometimes sent temporarily on detached duty to Tulli-schewan, near Alexandria, and on these occasions he received in addition subsistence allowance and payment for travelling time, as provided by the regulations. He has now been transferred from Old Kilpatrick to Tullichewan, where he continues to receive 7s. a night lodging allowance.
