HC Deb 26 November 1953 vol 521 cc74-5W
86. Rev. LI. Williams

asked the Minister of Health how many long-stay annexes for old people there are in Monmouthshire; how many are on waiting lists for these places; and what is the average length of time of awaiting admission.

Mr. Iain Macleod

There are four institutions (227 beds) for the sick and 13 (452 places) for the non-sick. The respective waiting lists total 101 and 15. The waiting time varies according to local circumstances and to the patient's priority and average figures are not calculable.
