HC Deb 25 November 1953 vol 521 c36W
61. Mr. Wigg

asked the Minister of Food what consultations were held with the Governments of Colonial territories and the marketing boards concerned with the sale of oils and fats to this country, before his decision to return the import of oils and fats to private account; and what representations were made to him by these authorities.

Major Lloyd George

None, but the colonial Governments were informed that the decision would not affect existing contracts with the Ministry of Food.
