asked the President of the Board of Trade whether imports of rice from Burma enjoy the preferential rate of duty.

Rice grown or produced in Burma is admitted free of duty into the United Kingdom if consigned from Burma or from any part of the Commonwealth. Broken rice is admitted free of duty when imported from any source.
