HC Deb 18 November 1953 vol 520 cc175-6W
104. Mr. Skeffington

asked the Assistant Postmaster-General whether he is satisfied that interference from industry to television reception in Hayes and Harlington has now been overcome.

Mr. Gammans

No. Unfortunately, some high-frequency apparatus used for drying glue has been causing interference to television reception for a long time. In spite of the co-operation of the owners and the manufacturers of the apparatus, Post Office Engineers have so far not been able to find a satisfactory solution.
