§ 45. Mr. E. Wakefieldasked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation what action he has taken, or is taking, in the interests of road safety, to encourage all motor-cyclists to wear crash helmets.
§ Mr. MolsonAt my right hon. Friend's request the British Standards Institution produced a specification, which was issued last July, for a lightweight helmet. I understand that helmets which conform to it are now on sale. We shall take every opportunity to encourage all motor cyclists to wear helmets. I am glad to see that many of them do so.
