§ 9. Mr. Sorensenasked the Under-Secretary of State for Air what further steps have been taken to confer with the Secretary of State for the Home Department and with local authorities both to minimise disturbance of urban amenities by low-flying and noisy aircraft and to secure due warning of large-scale air exercises whenever these are necessary.
Mr. WardThe chief constables of the areas affected are told in advance of any large-scale air exercises and the editors of the local Press are asked to give notice of them. My noble Friend is always glad to discuss this problem with local authorities.
