asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies what proposals are being considered for a reform of the Constitution in the Bahamas; and what proposals for the enfranchisement of women are included in such proposed changes.

Proposals for the enfranchisement of women, put forward by Private Members of the House of Assembly last Session, have been referred to a Select Committee of the House. No other proposals are at present being considered.
