HC Deb 17 November 1953 vol 520 c154W
Dr. Morgan

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether, in view of the fact that the money donated to the sugar industry in St. Kitts as accruing from sales of Commonwealth sugar to Canada has been the cause of a dispute in the industry, he will say what measures are being adopted to prevent that money from causing such deterioration of industrial relations in St. Kitts as will indefinitely damage the sugar industry there.

Mr. Lyttelton

I am in communication with the Governor. I hope that it may be possible to reach an agreed solution.
