HC Deb 17 November 1953 vol 520 cc155-6W
Mr. Houghton

asked the Assistant Postmaster-General when he will be in a position to give a firm decision on the matters which were submitted to his noble Friend by a deputation representing the Society of Civil Servants and the Civil Service Clerical Association concerning the objections of certain Post Office staffs to the proposal to disperse them to Chesterfield and Sheffield, respectively.

Mr. Gammans

I am sorry that I cannot yet say when it will be possible to make a definite announcement about the proposed dispersal of certain sections of the Post Office staff to Chesterfield and Sheffield respectively.
