asked the Minister of Food if he has considered details which have been sent to him concerning delay in the transit of eggs from the producer to the consumer owing to regulations which require the stamping of eggs; if he will remove these regulations forthwith; and if he will make a statement.

The grading of home-produced eggs is essential to efficient marketing and I have undertaken to continue the existing arrangements until a more permanent scheme can be introduced. The identification of the grade by means of a stamp on the egg involves no delay.
