§ Mr. Llewellynasked the Minister of Works how much has hitherto been raised by the sale of Coronation adornments by his Department in and out of Westminster Abbey, respectively; and whether he will make a statement concerning disposal of adornments remaining unsold.
§ Sir D. EcclesThe receipts to date from the sale of Coronation materials used in the Abbey and Annexe amount to £41,000, and of decorations on the Processional Route to £7,500. In addition, furniture and materials from the Abbey are on offer to applicants to a value of £13,000 but payment has not yet been received. The remaining decorations, 123W mainly from the Processional Route, will be sold on the basis of tender or by auction.
