HC Deb 11 November 1953 vol 520 cc39-40W
29. Mr. Gibson

asked the Assistant Postmaster-General how many applications for the installation of telephones are outstanding in the area covered by the Tulse Hill Exchange; what is the length of time these have been waiting; and when he anticipates these will be dealt with.

Mr. Gammans

Six hundred and fifty-six applications were outstanding at 30th September, 1953, of which 381 were received within the last 18 months. The waiting list has been reduced by 140 during the past year, but I regret that I cannot say when all outstanding applications will be met.
