HC Deb 11 November 1953 vol 520 cc42-3W
60. Major McCallum

asked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation if, in view of the serious accidents which have occurred since 1945 on trunk road A82, between Glencoe and Kinlochleven, in Argyllshire, including one recently involving loss of life, he will authorise the widening of this road to enable heavy vehicles to meet and pass each other without risk of the roadside giving way and precipitating the outside vehicle down the lochside.

Mr. Lennox-Boyd

I regret that I shall not be able to authorise a comprehensive widening of this length of road next year, but I hope to carry out further small improvements at the places that are most in need of attention.
