§ 68. Mr. Alportasked the Secretary of State for War whether he is able to make a statement with regard to the scheme suggested to him by the hon. Member for Colchester for providing facilities for house purchase at the termination of their service for Regular officers and other ranks.
§ Mr. HeadYes. I have carefully reviewed the existing arrangements for saving in the Army and also the provision for resettlement in civil life. I cannot, however, see any immediate prospect of any wider scheme.
