§ Mr. SandysAbout 37 per cent. of the steel plate produced in the United Kingdom is being consumed by shipbuilders, ship repairers and marine engineers. A similar amount is going to the general engineering and miscellaneous industries. 9W Seventeen per cent. is used on constructional engineering and building, and 9 per cent. on the manufacture and repair of railway rolling stock.
