Griffithsasked the Minister of Transport why his Department has informed the Carmarthenshire County Council that the major schemes for road improvements urgently necessary in the interests of road safety and submitted by them cannot be approved for grant during the current year; and if he will reconsider this decision.
Mr. BraithwaiteI regret that the funds at present available to me are not sufficient to enable me to approve these schemes for grant, but I will gladly consider them further as soon as I have additional funds at my disposal.
