§ 71. Mr. Awberyasked the Minister of Agriculture if he will take steps to make it an obligation on all farmers to provide protective clothing for their workers who are engaged in handling artificial manures and toxic chemicals.
§ Mr. NugentFarmers are required by the Agriculture (Poisonous Substances) Regulations, 1953, to provide protective clothing for workers who handle certain toxic chemicals. My right hon. Friend has no evidence that workers who handle artificial manures need special clothing to protect them from risks of injury to health.
