Mr. Hartleyasked the Minister of Agriculture whether, in order to be assured that maximum production is being obtained from smallholdings in Durham County he will arrange for his Department to conduct or direct an inquiry to ascertain the extent and the ways in which these smallholdings are being used and issue a report.
§ Mr. NugentFarm surveys of these, as of other agricultural holdings in County Durham, will, of course, be made from time to time. My right hon. Friend sees no reason for any special inquiry.
