§ Mr. GammansWandsworth covers 4 exchange areas and parts of 3 others, and precise figures for the borough are not, therefore, readily available. We estimate that about 3,500 applications were outstanding at 31st March, 1953. Some new exchange equipment and cables will be 133W brought into service this year and I hope that there will be an appreciable reduction in the waiting list.
