HC Deb 20 May 1953 vol 515 c134W
54. Mr. Ernest Davies

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what further representations have been made to the Hungarian Government concerning the retention of Mr. Edgar Sanders in prison; and with what result.

Mr. Selwyn Lloyd

No opportunity has-been lost of impressing on the Hungarian Government that the imprisonment of Mr. Sanders remains a serious issue in the relations between Her Majesty's Government and the Hungarian Government. There have been no new developments.
