asked the Secretary of State for Scotland how many wartime camps, or hutments, are still being used by local authorities in Scotland to house families; how many people are still living in these camps; and how this compares with the figure in May, 1951.

108 wartime camps accommodating 2,005 families are still in use in Scotland. The number of persons living in these camps is not known. The corresponding figures in May, 1951, were 142 and 3,616 respectively.
