HC Deb 20 May 1953 vol 515 c148W
Sir W. Darling

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will ensure that visitors to London from Scotland, arriving after 6 a.m. on Coronation Day, will have facilities to cross London from main termini to the point at which they have arranged to see the procession.

Sir D. Maxwell Fyfe

The police will endeavour to give all reasonable facilities to any person wishing to reach a particular section of the processional route, but no guarantee can be given that in every case access to a particular section of the route can be ensured to late-comers.
