HC Deb 18 May 1953 vol 515 c116W
Mr. Baker

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if he will make representations to the South Korean Government concerning the repeated pronouncements of Mr. Syngman Rhee and Pynn Yung Tai obstructing the United Nations negotiations for peace in Korea and the British desire to see a just settlement of the prisoner-of-war question.

Mr. Nutting

Her Majesty's Government have seen reports of recent statements by members of the Government of the Republic of Korea but they do not consider that representations are called for by any particular pronouncements. Her Majesty's Government maintain close contact with their allies on all matters of common concern over Korea.
