asked the President of the Board of Trade what facilities will be available to interested parties and the public to make representations to the Committee under Sir H. Wilson Smith which is to examine the duty-free entry into the United Kingdom of machinery.

It is for the Committee, which is an independent Committee, to decide what facilities it makes available for the submission of representations. No doubt this is one matter that will engage the attention of the Committee at its first meeting which, I understand, will take place shortly.
