§ 74. Sir W. Smithersasked the Minister of Agriculture if he will publish or place a copy in the Library of the names and addresses of all the county and district members of the county agricultural executive committees.
§ Mr. NugentThe names and addresses of all members of county agricultural executive committees are notified to the Press when they are appointed, but my right hon. Friend will also place a complete list in the Library. The members of district committees are appointed by the executive committees themselves and no centeral register is maintained of their names and addresses. There are some 5,500 members of district committees and, since membership is primarily of local interest, my right hon. Friend does not consider that the time and labour involved in preparing and maintaining a list would be justified.
