The estimated capital expenditure by the Admiralty in Scotland in 1953–54 amounts to some £2,450,000. Among the major projects covered by this expenditure are married quarters, airfield runway construction and extension, improved facilities at oil fuel installations, machinery for Admiralty shore establishments and certain special storage facilities.
