asked the President of the Board of Trade what number of persons, men and women separately, were employed in North-Eastern Trading Estate Company factories in Sunderland on the latest available date.

Mr. H. Strauss

On 28th February, 1953, 1,533 men and boys and 3,570 women and girls, making a total of 5,103, were employed in these factories.
