HC Deb 24 March 1953 vol 513 c74W
68. Mr. Hamilton

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what arrangements he has made to facilitate the exchange of teachers and students between Scotland and the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation countries.

Mr. J. Stuart

Arrangements for the exchange of teachers with Canada and the U.S.A. and for the exchange of teachers and students with France have been in operation for many years. Arrangements for exchanges with Norway were brought to the attention of Scottish teachers in 1952; but so far no Scottish teachers have been exchanged under these arrangements.
