asked the Minister of Education whether she will ascertain from the education authorities the present number of pupil hours spent annually in this country on the study of French; whether she will equally ascertain the number of children and young persons leaving school each year who are considered capable of reading French or conversing in that language; and the approximate amount of money expended on teaching French in this country.
