86. Mr. Sorensen

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty what provision Her Majesty's Government have made for patrolling the waters of the Red Sea and the Persian Gulf to check attempts at slave trading.

Anti-slavery patrols were suspended during the war. They have not been re-instituted but commanders-in-chief have a general responsibility for the prevention of slave trading.
