asked the President of the Board of Trade the total of the premiums collected under the voluntary scheme for the insurance of business chattels under Part II of the War Damage Act, 1943.

Subject to certain exceptions, the business scheme was compulsory. The total of the premiums received thereunder is approximately £77 million.
