No Royal ordnance factory has been built since 1945.

asked the Minister of Supply the number of persons employed in each of the Royal ordnance factories; and how far these figures have been subject to fluctuation due to seasonal causes.

Forty-nine thousand, nine hundred and twenty-seven persons are employed in the factories. It would not be in the public interest to disclose details for each factory. The numbers employed are not subject to seasonal variations, but they naturally depend on the amount of work to be done.
