asked the Minister of Transport how many appeals to his Department against the decisions of licensing authorities in respect of increases in 'bus fares have been made since 1940; and how many such appeals have succeeded in whole or in part.

Nine groups of appeals comprising 61 appeals in all, have been made against decisions in respect of increased 'bus fares; and one group of two appeals was successful.
