§ Mr. Hamiltonasked the Secretary of State for Scotland what discussions he has had with the Minister of Labour on the possibility of using unemployed men on the clearance of storm-damaged timber.
§ Mr. J. StuartI am in close touch with the Minister of Labour on this matter. About 100 men, who were previously unemployed, are already at work on clearing the windblown timber; and in recruiting additional labour the fullest use will be made of the services of the unemployed.
