asked the Minister of Labour (1) how many persons were registered as unemployed in Tam-worth, Staffordshire, on the latest convenient date and on the corresponding date in 1950;

(2) how many persons were unemployed in the tape industry in Tamworth and Fazely, Staffordshire, on the latest convenient date and on the corresponding date in 1950.

The total number of unemployed persons on the registers of the Tamworth Employment Exchange and Youth Employment Office at 16th February, 1953, was 88, compared with 45 at 13th February, 1950. These figures did not include any workpeople whose last employment had been in the tape industry.
