The importance of securing reasonably stable prices for sterling area raw materials is recognised, and it remains our policy to explore fully the practicable possibilities of inter-governmental action through the established international channels for particular commodities which are subject to a marked instability of prices. We are keeping in close contact with the United States Administration on these matters.
