HC Deb 11 March 1953 vol 512 c124W
65. 65. Mr. E. L. Mallalieu

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies what restrictions are placed in British Somaliland upon the right of persons to meet together for political or other purposes.

Mr. Lyttelton

Meetings are not restricted unless they are likely to cause a disturbance of public order or tranquillity or to promote disaffection amongst the inhabitants of the Protectorate.
