§ 71. Sir W. Smithersasked the Minister of Agriculture if he will introduce legislation to amend the Agriculture Act, 1947, to enable dispossessed farmers to have the right of appeal to a traditional English court of law, not only on a point of law, but on points of fact and merit.
§ Sir T. DugdaleIn the light of experience of the working of the Act during the last five years, I am considering what amendments should be made to it when Parliamentary time allows. I will examine this suggestion among others in consultation with representatives of the industry itself. Amendment on these lines has not yet been proposed by any of the leading representative organisations.
