HC Deb 29 June 1953 vol 517 cc4-5W
54. Mr. A. Evans

asked the Minister of Transport if he has investigated the probability that flashing beacons on pedestrian crossings near traffic lights may confuse drivers of motor vehicles; and if he is satisfied that this will not be the case.

Mr. Braithwaite

The possibility was considered, but the flashing sign is distinctive and, so far is I am aware no confusion has arisen.
