asked the Minister of National Insurance the number of persons, male and female, within the area of Ferndale, Porth, Tonypandy and

scheme to give effect to the proposals will shortly be laid before Parliament. During the present year the existing hill cattle subsidy will also continue in the same form as last year, except that not more than £10 will be paid on any animal that qualifies under both schemes. I have not yet decided on the future of this particular scheme and I shall be discussing it with the National Farmers' Union.
