§ Mr. F. Macleanasked the Minister of Transport whether he will take steps to restrict the use of dazzling headlights.
Mr. BraithwaiteRegulations are in force to ensure that drivers are provided with means such as dipping devices in order to prevent dazzle, and advice on the subject is contained in the Highway Code. As I indicated to my hon. Friend the Member for Buckinghamshire, South (Mr. R. Bell) in reply to a Question on 16th March, my Department are at present studying a Report by the Road Research Laboratory on the subject.
