HC Deb 24 June 1953 vol 516 c143W
67. Captain Orr

asked the Assistant Postmaster-General whether, in order that the public may know which newspapers, in their leading articles and by other methods, are opposing the introduction of commercial television while, at the same time, applying for licences to operate commercial television stations, he will now reconsider his decision not to reveal which newspapers are among the applicants.

Mr. Gammans

I would refer the hon. and gallant Member to my reply to the hon. Member for Keighley (Mr. Hobson) on 20th May.
