asked the Minister of Education the number of new schools commenced to be built and completed since 1945 in Abingdon and the county of Berkshire, respectively.

Of the 16 new schools started in the Berkshire County Council's area between 1945 and 30th April, 1953, nine had been completed by the latter date. These figures include three schools started and two completed in Abingdon.
