HC Deb 22 June 1953 vol 516 c100W
25. Mr. Beswick

asked the Minister of Transport if he will reconsider the case for the completion of the roadworks over the Ickenham-South Ruislip railway bridge; and if, in view of the fact that traffic over this bridge continues to increase, and as much money has already been spent on the bridge itself which will be wasted until the approaches on either side are widened, he will now sanction the work required.

Mr. Braithwaite

I recognise the desirability of completing this work as soon as financial conditions permit, but I regret that we are unable to approve the expenditure at the present time.
