asked the Secretary of State for Scotland how many new permanent schools in Scotland, primary and secondary, were affected by the Government's decision in October, 1951, to suspend starting dates; and how many permanent schools were actually started in 1952.

The answer to the first part of the Question is four primary and two secondary schools, and to the second part, 28 schools.
