Member a figure for 1952–53, on the same basis as that given him on 21st April last for 1951–52, as soon as the necessary analysis of hospital accounts has been completed in some weeks' time. 41W Meanwhile, I can say that the total expenditure for 1952–53 was 7.2 per cent. higher than for 1951–52 while the average number of in-patients increased by 3.3 per cent.
