HC Deb 11 June 1953 vol 516 c29W
53. Mr. Driberg

asked the Minister of Agriculture what arrangements for flood warnings will be in operation on the East Coast next winter.

Sir T. Dugdale

As indicated in my reply to a Question by my hon. and gallant Friend the Member for Horncastle (Commander Maitland) on 1st May, when I outlined the flood warning arrangements on the East Coast for the summer months, the Waverley Committee is considering what permanent flood warning arrangements should be instituted. The Committee hope to make a report on this subject in the course of the summer.
