§ Mr. HeadGenerally speaking, the No. 1 dress was not damaged by the rain. Damage done to the full dress, and in particular the scarlet tunics, was much less than expected. Full dress is now worn only by the Household Brigade and is all public property: any damage to it will, therefore, be made good at public expense.
